i need some help determining the stock tire size for 1982 CJ 7s... i would like this info so i can figure out the axle gearing i would like to eventually run once i get my Jeep back together....
Didn't they come with a couple different tire sizes stock? I know some CJ7s came stock with 30x9.5s... could you look it up with a vin number or something? That way you coulld be sure.
I thought they were something like 235-75-15 which is a 28 or 29. I think some packages were up to 31-1050-15. I am definatly not sure but somewhere in that range.
they came with different sizes. My dads scrambler came with 215 75 r15 and my jeep CJ7 came with 235 75 r15. If you got the spoke wheels I think you got the 235's. Dad's scrambler had the cheapie steel stamped wheels with the 215's.
