yj wont start in cold

my name is jake and this is my first post so i hope it works. i have a 1988 yj with a 258 i6,tf 999 auto transmission, np231, dana 30, and dana 35. the motor has a weber carb. whenever the outside temp drops below 50 it wont start. when its warmer than that it starts on the first hit. it seems like its not getting any fire i can smell gas and it turns over great. thank you for any help.

did you check to see if choke is working.cracked or broken vac line. or your choke coil. best to get a haynes repair manual .
