I have a right rear wheel cylinder leaking, how hard is this to replace? can someone with a basic knowledge of mechanics do it himself? also i heard somewhere that you could rebuild one for a couple bux, anyone ever done this?

Replacement is under $15, don't bother trying to rebuild.

It's easy to replace, undo the brake line and two bolts that hold it on. Pull the drum off and make sure it's the wheel cylinder that's leaking. If your brake fluid hasn't been low it's likely a leaky axle seal.

the easy part is unbolting the wheel cylinder. the only tricky part about replacing a wheel clyinder is those GD spring for the shoes.

in NY, the tricky part is getting the line unbolted from the cylinder without ruining or stripping something... when i pooped my cylinder, it was due to low shoes... when i found that the line was rusted into the cylinder, i found it much easier, and a few bucks cheaper, to rebuild the cylinder
