Ok so my wife is buying me a 1994 JGC. How do I know if its a WJ or a ZJ. All I know is that its 2 wheel drive, and it has the 4.0 litre inline six. On another note, I am disgusted that I will own a Jeep that is 2 wheel drive. I had a 92 Nissan Pathfinder. I regularly outran most wrangler and that body type that was stock. How does the JGC hold up off road. I never ran with one on the trails. I would also like to do a SAS on it. I am unsure of cost and what parts I need to get from what vehicles. Any help will greatly appreciated and used. Thank you very much.

it is a ZJ... get yourself a transfercase and a front axle and you'll be fine

ZJ's do very well off-road. i run a ZJ on a 2" bb and 31's, and i do as well as many friends with much bigger rigs/tires. i'm convinced that its more about driver skill, and picking the right lines than the vehicle itself. obviously 35s are a major advantage over stock, but in similar cases, driver makes the difference. if you ran a stock pathfinder, i'm sure you'll be fine.
