YJ Bolt On Shackle Reversel Kit

I recently heard about a shackle reversel kit for my YJ and wanted to know more about it. Does anyone have this done to their jeep with some pictures. Also can some one explain to me what a reversel kit does exaclty and what is the best one to possibly buy.

The reversal kit changes the pivot point of the front leaf springs to the rear of the springs, making the front of the springs fixed. This is supposed to allow for a better ride on the street, enabling the wheel to travel backward instead of forward when hitting a bump (a more natural motion). It also eliminates the need for a front track bar, because the wheels will track behind the fixed spring eyes instead of the pivoting shackles. Full Traction makes a completely bolt-on kit, here is a write up:

most will say that it is not worth the money all in all... you lose vital traction in offroad situations due to absorbed momentum by the now rear-moving front axle. you can also experience a nose dive effect when braking because of the allowance of the front axle to move rearward as well

The only reason I would consider it would be to reduce my approach angle, which is hampered by my shackles. But after looking at the pics on the 4x4wire.com write-up, the fixed mounts up front hang down just as much as the shackles once did. That would be a no-go for me. But to each his own.
