xj rear brake conversion

Hello everyone! I would like to convert my rear drum brakes to disc on my 99 xj sport without dropping a bundle. Can I use the mounting hardware from a Grand Cherokee or by some other means than one of those expensive conversion kits? Help.

If you have a Dana 44 you can swap the disks in from a ZJ. I did it on a donor D44 I got from an 89 xj. Just google Dana 44 zj disk swap.

The rear disc on a ZJ will work on a Dana 44 35 and Chrystler 8.25. The 8.25 needs a little modification (bore out a hole) but pretty much a direct bolt in. Did it on mine before I went to tons. Try to get the ZJ e-brake cables. The brakes will drag a tiny bit if you don't swap the proportion valve. I never did and didn't really notice the drag.
