I'm trying to take the NSS of my 94 xj to clean it up, but can't get it off. I took the 12mm bolt out, as well as the large nut and lock washer. This is the second XJ that I've tried this on without any luck. I just rotated it clockwise for the time being so that the jeep will start again, but that's only a bandaid. I've read all the writeups on cleaning them up, but none of them seem to have the problem I've had. The whole unit won't slide away from the transmission. I'd like to get the thing off and clean it properly. Any suggestions?
