Wrangler Frame Inserts

I've been working on this part for a while. They're replacement threaded inserts that are welded to the frame to hold the belly pan on. I've had trouble with stripped and broken belly pan inserts on my Jeeps. Working on boxed frames sucks, so I machined 6 new inserts out of high carbon steel. See link below:

If anyone here can use these let me know so more can be made.

This is no B.S. these inserts really work. I have the tooling and can make more very easily...I'll be putting some on eBay in the near future. Check them out.

Wish I would have seen these a year ago when I was rebuilding my CJ. I ended up making my own. I used flat stock steel, drilled a hole through it, and welded a nut over the hole. Then I fished them through holes in the frame and into the right location. I made the flat stock big enough that it couldn't just spin around when putting the bolt in. It worked well once I got the bolt started, but if I ever have to take them off again, it will be difficult!

I think they're a great idea. Are they welded in place from beneath the frame?
Yes, you weld them to the frame the same way the factory does. I grind relief angles on both sides of the insert for better weld penetration.
