hi i am new to this forum
i just purchased a 79 jeep cj 7 which needs a new wiper motor.
now it looks to me like ya have to drop the winsheild, there is a dash
pad over the motor, maybe some one could explain the procedure.
it also looks like i have to diconnect the heater ducts.
the wiper motors for the cj,s are 3 wire then they went to a 4 wire
well the one they gave me is for all the years and its a 4 wire which i have to splice
into my wires but mine is a 3 wire, but no wire diagram to tell what the extra wire
is for i imagine mine is a 2 speed and the new one is a 3 speed, am i right?
i just have to hook up the wires and see what works what, can some one help me out? :-? [addsig]

It is a big pain to trouble shoot wiring. I'd suggest taking the motor back and finding one the same as yours or have yours rebuilt.[addsig]

I just replaced mine with a honda 4 cyl... I know it doesn't have quite the power... but its smaller and more convenient
