where can I find...

A larger carrier to handle a 4.56 gear ratio? It's for a D44 out of an 89 XJ.
I called Quadratec and they don't sell them for some reason. The guy said to check a junkyard but I want new! I'm in the middle of overhauling this axle and I need the parts!! Any help??

Do one of the search engins and search request Dana 44 parts. There is no telling where it will lead you. tug

Richmond Gear, quality, a bit pricey but good stuff, and you also buy the knowhow, they will talk you through ,most problems, seem pretty customer friendly. 4 wheel drive wholesalers has a pretty good selection of gears and such in the cataloge, the site doesn´t offer much, might be worth a call.

If it´s just the carrier, I`d go to the junk yard. Pretty hard to mess up a carrier, used is probably just as good as new. With all the parts removed carriers could probably be used as cannon balls. If you buy a new one, you just might be getting a hot tanked, used one.
