Does anyone know where I can get this?

I want to lift my 96 grand cherokee limited edition all time 4x4.. what size lifts fit what tires? i was wanting to put 33's or 35's. whats a good lift that could fit that. im willing to do suspension and body if necessary. Does anyone have pics of lifted grand cherokees they could send me? thanks

you won't find a wide selection of WJ/ZJ lifts on the market. the GC is sorta a hassle to lift... and you definitely aren't going to fit 35's without atleast 3 inches of lift and some serious fender trimming. even then... you'd have to regear and do some other custom work. 33's are more reasonable, but still not that easy on a WJ. you can find a few 3" lifts out there for grands, but not many. i know www.rustysoffroad.com carries some suspension components for GC's (including a complete 3" lift kit). maybe some other people can help you out more, but if you're planning to go for a big lift and larger sized tires... i'd almost recommend you just trade your GC for a cherokee or a wrangler or something.

I'll second BDS' quality. Rubicon Express also makes good lifts, and a decent line for the GC.

You'll need a good bit of lift to fit that size tire! 4" won't do it

4" is the magic number for the gc zj. anything higher and you get into fairly serious driveline issues. 3"= 31s, 4"=32s.etc. i have a 3week old lift running 3" pro comp coils inthe front w/1" spacer and 4" longer es 3000's, moving the stock front coils to the rear gaining 3.75" over stock height in the rear. i cut and sleeve welded the rear track bar 5/8" longer at the top end, the alignment came within 32 thou offset! installed the relocation bracket, and lower control arms from pc in the front and reset the toe and caster to posted specs.......it drives like a dream.........152km return drive to school each day and no problems. removed the stock rear sway bar with no ill effects and pulled a 723 on the 30 degree ramp at the local shop! lots of flex and all the trail manners to follow a rubicon with 3" lift all weekend.

No body lift possible on your ZJ, it's a unibody design. You'll need about 4" or 5" minimum lift to fit 33" tires, even more for 35" tires. That's a lot of lift for stock suspension geometry, causes a lot of handling quirks. That much lift is best done with a long-arm conversion.

Check out the ZJ section over at www.rustysoffroad.com and you'll get an idea of what's available for the grocery getters.

someone said you cant find a lot for zj's, not true at all. i have the same 96 zj as you, except mine is a laredo not a limited. i'm currently going with the 2" budget lift on mine, and i'm going to be putting 31's on it. i'll send you some pics after and let you know how it turns out. i know you're looking to go bigger, but it might give you a nice reference. and at the very least, i'll tell you how rubicon express quality is, cause thats what i'm putting on. good luck!

Warn Rear bumper + tire carrier for TJ

you can go to 4wd.com.. they send out a magazine with TONS of products.. they have budget, 3 inch, 4 inch, 4.5 inch, 6 inch, and long arm kits available (im looking through it right now). Other than that check out rustysoffroad.com they are one of the best online performance parts sellers, with tons of jeep products. good luck!!
