Just wondering what gears I should put into my YJ which will be running 33's or 35's...haven't decided yet. It's a daily driver which takes me to work and back, mostly all highway. I want to be able to maintain highway speeds and still have enough power for passing yet still have some good low end torque. I like the way it drives now with my 31's and stock gears so a gear ratio that would bring it as close to this while running 33's would be good. I have my ford 8.8 still sitting here and the guy I bought it from said I could trade it in for a different 8.8 with different gears if I want. Don't know what different gear ratios the 8.8's come with. If I can get the right rearend with the proper gears already in it, all I have to do is buy gears for the front end.

You likely have 3.07 gears if you have the 5speed transmission, little lower if you have the auto. Check the tag on either diff cover (between two bolts) to be sure, first three numbers usually on the second row.
What ratio you change to depends a LOT on what ratio you have now.
The 8.8 is available factory with 4.10 gears, and even limited slip dfferentials. Then you can regear the D30 with 4.10 or even find used gears or a used D30 from a 2.5L 5spd YJ.
