What fender flare?

dana 35 to dana 44 swap

I have a 78 Cj-5 and am putting 35' Mt/r's and was wondering if a set of fender flares from another model jeep will fit if I trim the wheel wells. Has anyone done this before? I have a 4 suspension lift, 1 inch shackle lift, and axles from a Cj-7. The wheels are offset 3 inches, so these wheels will be about 5 inches out from stock position. Any recommendations? I orignially thought that TJ fender flares my work, but was told that they won't be long enough.

The TJ flares are your largest opening option, and YJ flares fall between TJ flares and CJ flares in opening size.

I have read a couple online article about putting tj flares on a CJ, it can be done but there is a very persice process to it. Something needs to be re-welded but I can not remember exactly what.
