What drive???

I have a 97 TJ Wrangler that i have been rebuilding. The motor was toast so i have put 3.0L motor i had in it. The computer was blown so i have no working gauges. I am putting in some mechanical gauges. My question is...what drive is needed for the speedo from the gear box for the speedo cable and speed cable?

The Speedo is electronic on the '97 so you'll need the VSS from the original transfer case.

Tell us more about this 3.0L you used.

I have the VSS from the transfer case but i am fitting a mechanical speedo. How do i get it to work. The 3.0 motor is a V6 Ford motor i had lying around.

on 231 the 87 or 88, there was a cable for the tcase that had the mechanical connection and the electronic one.

you might have to get one of those cool speedo that are gps and don't hook to anyting
