I think that's a tough call. From what I understand Superchips is the big name (and they are a sponsor here). I noticed they have a "Rants and Raves" section on their forum where people seem equally split between like and dislike:

What gains can I expect

every time i have used a performance chip, it was a super upgrade. i always had them on 6 cylinder cars though so i have no idea how they work on a 4 cylinder jeep.

i just know if i could do one, i would. i am carb'd though so no-go for me

Mine is a computered proudly the only thing good about one

it is good when it comes to upgrades like that. that was nice about having fuel injected vehicles, just plug a chip in and instant power versus swapping parts and adjusting the carb to match.

Ya. But then parts get expensive and emissions get stricter. I remember I had a 82 k10 and parts were cheap and so many to choose from
