What are my options for a transmission?

I know my T-150 will not hold up to the 39" tires I want (nor will my D20 T-case). What are my options for transmissions? I know the SM420 would be MY dream trans but they are hard to come by (the trans and parts) I know the NV4500, T-18/T-19, SM465, NP435 and :shudder: AX15 and NV3550 (too small) any others I am overlooking?



Oh yeah, it has to be a manual! CJ-5 it too short for auto

If you ask me, the NV4500 is the way to go. They now have a 5600, but that is a little bit overkill

I think you could use a m22 transmission.

That is where I got my inital inf from, but I didn't know if they had left any good ones out or not. I like you set-up, if the SM420 doesn't work out that's what I'll go with.

Look into using a Ford T18 or NP435 with a D300. I think it's the cheapest route for you, and it's just as good as any other four speed granny box.
