welded my frame

well.. i had a nasty hole in my frame on the inside, and a bad crack on the outside...

so today i decided i was going to get a strip of metal and weld it to the bottom until i could get the means of doing the whole thing right.. the strip was to suture the underside of the frame together to absorb stress for the time being

but when i got to it, i was running out of time, so i decided to grind the crack out and weld it solid... i did so and it turned out quite nice... right now it just looks like i ground the rust off the frame.. good clean weld all the way down where the crack was

i'll get pics for you guys when i finish it up

Nice! I expect nothing less from you dude.

Hey man, I got some stuff out here that needs welded up, so why dont you come on over. Oh, and just weld me up an entirely new jeep while your at it....

PICS PLEASE!

When you weld on a frame, I would advise that you use a "fish" plate. it is a lot stonger and allows for more welding area than a simple patch. I thin I have a picture of a buddy's extended CJ frame that we "fish" welded!
