Wanting to run 33's on my 93 YJ (need suspension education)

You already have Dana axles front and rear ;)

This 18 and 21mpg you speak of is unheard of in a jeep, I'm more than a little skeptical.

WOW!!! I agree! I've got a '94 YJ, mostly stock but for the Goodyear A/T's 235/75r/15's, I think, and the 2.5 liter 4cyl engine. I generally get 18mpg highway at 55 to 60, and around 16mpg if I hit the freeways at 70 to 75. One interesting note, however: Last weekend, I went back to my farm in Eastern Kansas (same route I took when the wind scalped my ragtop off), and came back home headed west across 40-45mph winds from the south, and got 21.5mpg!!! No kidding! My son only got 7mpg in his full-size Chevy with 33" tires, 3 1/2" suspension lift and 2" body lift! I still haven't figured out how I got that good, and have rechecked the figures several times.....I ain't complainin', mind you! Just wish I could get that mileage all the time!

EDIT: I actually get 18MPG on the highway, not 18MPH!

I have the rubicon express 2.5 hd kit with a 1" body lift and run 31" x 13.50. In real tough articulation I rub the fender flairs a little.
