i did a rebuild with a 75 and 80 cj5
i used the 80 304 with a three wire distributor and an ignition module
wiring diagrams have helped me wire this
but none of the diagrams include a voltage regulator
i have two (one from each jeep) both four wire black,green,yellow,orange
can someone help me with the location for each wire
after looking at several diagrams i went with black to switched 12 v
green to field
yellow spliced to 10gauge red
alternator to solenoid
but no diagram mentioned orange
after further research in went yellow power to switched 12 volts
green ground to alternator
black to field
gray/orange to other pole marked s
any thoughts
