Red sox fan?

ok so i wanted to take my carpet out. so i ordered vinyl flooring. 1st--is this a good idea. 2nd--what a pain to put in. :? it said it was molded for my type of jeep but wasn't and now there are spaces in the front where it doesn't lay flat. so has anyone done this before?? would there be glue for this or what or how do i fix it. i like the look of the part that is down flat. OR what is an alternative to carpet. just mats?? thanks

you could probably get a vinyl floor tile adhesive... that stuff works for everything

Finally a rear with 4.11

I can see it now...

Out comes the hi-lift jack.

In goes the Swiffer mop!

(The Devil made me type that.)

Shineal Vinyl, In a nice dark Red Brick Pattern would be nice! hehehehe Just yanking your chain a bit you may want to try to heat up the mat a bit with a Hair dryer or even better a heat gun and it should mold in to the spaces nooks and crannys, Just be carefull not to burn the material. Good luck Tug

Ok why would you glue down a mat in your Jeep?? Wouldn't you need to pull it out and wash out the tub or dry it after wheeling or a nasty winter?

if you glue it down, it would be part of the floor, and nothing would get under it... it would be much like lining it.. i would just suggest lining it then

I´ve had some nasty surprises over the years, pulling up the carpet and finding, where there is a small leak somewhere, where the water or condensation, sits under the floor matts and starts metal rot.
Seems to be worse with rubber or plastic flooring. I put down a type of astro turf (light brown) That I stuck down with velcro, contact cement half of the velcro to the floor, and the other half to the flooring. Kept it from shifting around much. The original carpet. had velcro in some places, I just bought a couple of yards of a larger variety and used the original, fastening technique, just improved it a bit.
I periodically pull up the flooring, dry and wax.

I would go with a quality spray in bed liner as opposed to vinyl matting, theyre tough, waterproof, and slip resistant

Bondo makes a two part roll in bedliner. $60 at Advance Auto. I have used it on 3 Jeeps now. It's tough and looks good. Spray in is the way to go if you have $500 bucks laying around. That cuts way too deep into the beer fund.
