V8 in my jeep wrangler 2002 sport

Im new to this forum. So i guess I should put my first thread out here. I was wondering if you could put a V8 in a jeep wrangler sport 2002. Im sure you can. I am maily wondering what are the pros and cons. Please help:?|

Pros are you get a killer ride with a sweet power to weight ratio.

Cons: cost, need to beef up transmission/transfer/axles, cost, you get the point.

The Dodge 318 from a Durango has good lower end torque.

Novak adapters have a good knowledge base for doing a V8 conversion.

Unless you have a Dana 44 rear or plan to put one in you will brake
the Dana 35 Oh and the Dana 30 too.Stay away from V8 swaps and go with gears in the axles and lockers. That's the key.

It varies on how much you can do yourself and how resourceful you are in obtaining the parts, but $2000-$3000 minimum.
