RE: Building a fiberglass center console....any advice?

I hear a clicking noise when i take my foot off the gas and slow down from underneath/behind me. Is this the U-joint and if so is it easy to fix and with what tools?

RE: fuel pump

Could be. That would be the first thing I would look at. Grab the driveshaft and wiggle it around, there should be no play in the joints.

Changing them is easy. I prefer to just torch out the old cross, knock the old caps out, slide the new cross in and use a big vise to press in the new caps. Quick and easy with no chance of damaging the shaft or new joint.

I prefer the cutting wheel method, but any cutting method will work. If you are brave you can do what I've had to do many times. Have someone get inside while the jeep is up on jack stands. Have them engage and disengage the clutch, and play with the gas and brake while you are listening to the joints.

RE: doors off, lights & buzzer stay on?

Oh man, I hope you dont have alot of rust. I just finished doing a set of axle joints yesterday. Took all day. Not fun, not hard, but definatly a pain in the arse. of course Ill mention it was my first time doing it, and I didnt use a cutter or torch, just a good ole hammer and blocks of wood.
I cansee how it would go dast if mine were not so rusted...

My first couple times doing them were the caveman method with a club and a rock (hammer, table, vise, etc.)

RE: Finally, the tub off (pics not for shiny Jeep people)

I've only done the BFH and socket method. It seems to work well enough as long as I spray some liquid wrench on the caps first.
