Transporting an axle

So I am going to be swapping in a ford 8.8 to my jeep, and I was looking for some suggestions on how to get it around. For example: Off the delivery truck, to the shop that will be welding the brackets on for me, etc etc. Any suggestions?

tie a rope to it and drag it to the shop!!! lol
just kidding, get a friend with a truck to help:shades:

Too late to have it shipped to the shop doing the work??

I havn't asked them if I could do that, but either way I am installing it myself unless they give me an insanely good deal on the install. I just needed them to replace the brackets. I don't have a welder yet, nor am I fully confident in my abilities. So I'd had to transport an axle one way or another..

seriously, the 8.8 is not that heavey, two moderately strong women could pick it up. Heck I picked up and carried a 14 bolt and carried it 50 feet by my self (long story, I ended up getting the axle for $50)

knock off the rotors and calipers, should shed about 20 lbs. all together shouldn't weight more than 180lbs.

Alright, I was also thinking more of off the freight truck, since it will be on a wooden palette.

pour kerosene on the pallet and burn it,when its cooled down, about an hour. Your all set to transport it,might want to get a burn permit first.

Two strong men or one smart man with an engine hoist. :shades: Then a good old fashoioned Pick em up truck.
