transmission swap?

Has anyone ever swapped a 5 speed transmission into a Wrangler that has an Auto in it? I have a 2006 Wrangler Rubicon LJ with 30,000 miles on it, I am wondering how hard it would be to swap in a 5 speed transmission. Would I have to also swap the computer on it? Would the computer have to be from a 2005/2006? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Never tried in a jeep. However in a mustang gt it is best to get the computer from the doner vehicle due to the computer being so specific to certain vehicle. Everything has to match correctly.
