So I finally made it to Paragon (off-roading park in NE PA) and was wheeling all day. Near the end of the day, I went through a 2 foot deep mud puddle and put it in park. When we went to go again, it wouldn't shift into gear (4-speed automatic). I took out the drain plug and the ATF came out looking like a strawberry milkshake. I figured I had water in the transmission, so I tried draining it a couple of times but still nothing. Finally got it towed out of the park and to a Pep Boys for a full flush. It worked fine on my 4 hour drive back to Rochester except when I pulled in my driveway. I had to rev it up to around 2000 RPM to get it to move a few inches. Now, when the mechanic at Pep Boys had the pan down, he scraped a good two inches of mud out. I'm guessing my transmission is shot now, but I wanted to know if it's worth rebuilding it or if it would be better to get a manual and swap it in (if that's even possible). Thanks for any input.
