transfer case is a Chrysler 999,i believe the only auto for '87-95 YJ's

front axle is a Dana 30

rear axle is a Dana 35

transfer case is either a NP-207 or a NP-231

NP-207

NP-231

hope this helps

NP-231 t-case with d30 front and either d35 rear or d44. Probably the d35.[addsig]

YJ's have a NP/NV231 t-case, a reverse rotation Dana 30 in the front, and a standard Dana 35 in the back.

Your transmission is a Torque Flight 999.

Ok folks thanks for the help. Now the question is are these parts ok or should they be upgraded. Mostly road driving , occasionally offroad. [addsig]

The D35 is the weak link. The transmission and t-case are very strong and have been used in a few v8 applications from the factory. I wouldn't worry about the front axle unless you're going over 35"s with the tires.

As for replacing the D35, it depends on what your future plans are, with what's listed in your sig you should be fine, however if you're not careful with the gas you might break stuff.[addsig]
