hey all,

what is the best bikini top to get. I never want doors or a full top but a little shade wouldnt hurt.... of that ever lurking wisconsin ten minute shower. thanks :p

and for that matter where is a good place to buy from for a 78 cj7. thanks again all

I got my Bestop traditional strapped bikini from JCWhitney IIRC.

About $45.00 +ship.

I had to get some footman loops from tractor supply.(Stainless & SS bolts & nylock-nuts)

I mounted them above the fender on the rear wall of the tub. (above the tail lights too)

This way the straps follow the same angle as the kid crusher tubes.

Haha! Kid Crushers! I should make some stickers and put them on my Kid Crushers...

Now you've done it!

I gotta have those stickers now!!!

Pretty soon I'll have enough stickers to completely hide the fact that I'm driving a jeep!

The newer style sport bar is known as the "family style".

cool thanks guys... and kid crusher is pretty funny!!!! I think ill go with the bestop.. does it flop around alot?

You can tighten the straps.

They do pool rainwater like any soft top, but I have a Zuse bow prop to push the center up. I had to wait for eight months for the company to ship the first ones to 4wd hardware, so they could send it to me.

That said, it does work well.

If you live in a rainy area, you may want a squeegie to keep the inside of the windshield clear during heavy rains.

Also some drum liners (extra large green trash bags) to use for seat ponchos.;)

I didn't coin the kid crusher terminology BTW, that name has been around for years.

Hah, yeah, drum liners are the offroader's seat cover of choice :D They're great when you go mudding.

Yep! they fit a bit looser than contractor cleanup & lawn/leaf bags!

Judging by your third sigpic, you are substantially more into mudding than me.

I find it fun, but never like the big chore afterwards, of cleaning that stuff out of my heep.mooooh-(

THANKS YOU GUYS ROCK... AND IM USING THE SWEET SEAT LINERS....GREAT TO KNOW. ILL ORDER ONE NEXT WEEK. i NEED TO GET MY VEGAS FIX IN THIS WEEKEND. :D

You wouldn't guess it by looking at my sig but I actually hate mud. I prefer dirt, rocks, snow, verts, and clean water (i.e. rivers.) I hate the cleanup process after mudding as well. It took me a few hours a day for three days to get the Jeep clean again (and the underbody is still fairly red) from what it looked like in the third sigpic.

I'm hip! $15.00 at the quarter wash, & you still need another $5.00 to clean the stall out.:(

Cleaning out the frame rails is the worst, but also the thing that needs it most. Then there's the chore of checking the fluids for water intrusion, blah blah blah......
