hey all. quick question
i have 30x11.5 tires and wanted to go a bit bigger without lifting it.
i dont really go off road often so its mostly street driving just was wondering what size i should get without making the ride rougher or having it kill me in gas
i was looking at 32x11.5
any help would be appreciated

What are you driving (i.e.: Year and Model), and what tires do you have on now? What kind of tread pattern do they have (street/touring, winter, All Terrains, Mud Terrains, etc.)?

I think the following info is pretty much correct...The stock JK will easily fit 32" tires with no rubbing with the right wheel backspacing. The 97-06 TJ with no lift will do a 31" tire but may rub just a bit during full suspension flex. YJ's will take about a 30" tire with no lift. CJ's can do a 31".

What would make one tire ride "rougher" than another would be things like if it is a P-metric passenger car tire or a LT- light truck tire, higher load rating w/stiffer sidewalls, drastically different aspect ratio or shoulder height (like the difference of a 32" diameter on a 17" rim vs. 32" diameter on 15" rim) and more aggressive tread pattern.

Typically, larger, heavier tires with agressive tread patterns and more rolling resistance are going to have some negative impact on gas mileage.
