Tire opinion

I am getting a couple new tires next month and obviously want to get a decent tire. I have read about a lot of all terrain tires, and if I had the money, I would buy a set of bfg's in a heart beat, but since I can't afford them i have been looking at other options. I looked at the Falken High County A/T's but have heard they don't wear that well, but they are in my price range, and I don't put too many miles on my jeep since I live 2 blocks from school, and a couple miles from work. I have also been looking at the Yokohama Geolander A/T's which are around the same price. Only bad things I have heard about them is diesel guys run them on 1 ton trucks and have tire roll, but my GC is no where near as heavy as a 1 ton, and I won't tow anything since I don't have a receiver. I am getting another set of 31x10.5x15, so anyone with suggestions or recommendations would be helpful.

I also might go to a 235/75/15 if i can get them to fit on an 8" rim. I know it would stretch it, but does anyone know if it would work?

I'm running a 255/70/16 geolander ats on 8" rims.

i was doing a little more reading and i think i might go with a 255 also. its still a decent size tire, but shouldn't rub a full right turn. i also think i might go with the general grabber at2's since i can get them cheaper than the other ones i have been looking at.

Check out treadwright.com They have great tires for the money. You can get a BFG all terrain with the BFG carcas. You have to specify that you want the BFG carcas or you might get something else. They call the BFG tread pattern the Warden. These tires are retreads but they are not your granddads retreads. They use a modern vucaniseing process. They also have a 2yr 24K warrenty. I have run several pair and have liked them alot. They do take a little extra weight to ballance. Definatily worth looking into. They also have other tread patterns like the old Goodyear MTR and you can get them with the goodyear carcas if you specify. Good luck.
