Hi guys, I've seen the spacer lifts and the add a leaf, and the full suspension lifts, My question is, are the cheap versions a waste of money? or should I just get a real lift? What kind for an 89 yj? Who has the best deal? I am new to this lift stuff, just got the jeep less than a year ago, but really like the look of the lifted ones. I take my stock jeep in the mud and hills every chance I get, so far good luck, I'm crazy, take my jeep where the lifted guys say I can't go. But I do anyways , no broken stuff yet thank god. 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) [addsig]

spend the money and buy a good lift. Don't mess around with spacers and crap like that. If you really use your jeep you won' be sorry you did it the correct way. Most kits use add a leafs for the rear which is okay. Rough Country makes a nice lift, that is what I used on my CJ. I replaced all 4 springs. Try www.jeeperz-creeperz.com that is where I bought mine from and it was resonable. Came with everything I needed. Shocks, dropped pitman arm, 4 springs, new ubolts... Good luck and happy wheelin!!!!!!!!!![addsig]

Thanks bro, really good price on that rough country 3 and1/2 inch lift. Now I still have one question, is a spring over better, or just go with the ruogh country lift? I am new to all this, and have heard good things on both. 8-) 8-) 8-) [addsig]

If you go offroad, the SOA is the best bet, but is expensive to do correctly. It will require a SYE and CV driveshaft, about $500 by itself. You should be fine with a 3.5" or 4" SUA lift with a transfer case drop.[addsig]
