Ticking in drivetrain

Have a ticking sound coming from t176 or dana 300, noise increases with speed and gets louder the faster you go. Put in a rebuild t176, pilot bushing in place, (old one was shot). And noise continues, took out rear driveshaft, still there, Front driveshaft and still there. I'm baffled and curious if anyone else had this problem. Noise started going over a roller bump on the highway. Opened the dana 300 and all the gears seemed to be good and rotated nicely. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had this and it drove me crazy for some time - turns out it was a rock stuck in my tire tread.

Are you sure the ticking is coming from your transmission / transfer case?

Just a thought , but could the ticking be coming from the speedometer cable or an adapter threaded on the speedo cable to the t-case ? The only other thing that comes to mind but is not likely to be is clutch key springs on the syncros in the t-176. Not trying to wish that on you though.
