This is what I got to drive last weekend

currupt4130

VT Hokie
I went to Crozet to help clear new trails and stuff, my buddy let me drive his rig. I am no putting a v8 in mine, there's no way I'm not. Just the instant amount of power is incredible... It took me about 6 tries to make this, and our other buddy Eddie (BESRK on the PBB) got denied on because of electrical problems. But anyway, this was a blast.

One little ride in a V8 rig and he's ditching the 4 popper he stood behind for so long...

I can't blame ya... I loved my 2.5 when I had it but even the 4.0L is a huge improvement on and off road.

Nice rig by the way ;)

Two weeks ago:
Me:
"Corrupt,
Just put an SBC in it. You know that is what you want anyway."

Corrupt:
"Red,
No."

One hill climb later and you have gone to the dark side. Muuhhaaaa, muuuuuhaaaa!
What engine did that Jeep have and what are you looking at putting in?

Scotts just has a 350 out of a Suburban. I can't afford to do the swap right now. I think I'm just going to wind up doing one major overhaul on my rig to include links, backhalf, coilovers, full on new cage, gut everything, new drivetrain, etc. I might as well just build a buggy...

Seems like I recall you saying you had a 302 in the garage. Shouldn't need much more money if you already have the engine.
Let me know if you need the cliff notes on installing the 302. My buddy has put in several 5.0 and 5.8 Ford MPI's. He knows all the tricks and how to do it on the cheap.
I like where you are going with the 4 link and back half project.

I have a 302 for another Jeep my dad and I are supposed to be building. It's an older one, and needs a FI set up or pane. Otherwise I just need to find time to build the mounts and put it in.
