The Daytona 500, Way to go Toyota! HA HA

who is Corky?

he's referring to the Texas joke from Mingez. Bad taste to bring that up Sparky... you know that one got outta hand the first time :(

FWIW, I believe those Japanese troops saw little or no
"action" over in Iraq, but this has been the case with many of the forces from other countries that came to "help". They are by no means an exception there. I'm not sure if this is the case because it was the desire of the counties that sent them or because the US chose to use them in other ways. Japan has, however, been a valuable contributer financially. There certainly are other countries far more worthy of our disappointment.

That is true, very little action. But thanks for backing up my point of their contribution, in contrast to other countries. That was the point I was trying to make, although less concise as you managed. LOL.

But I again would like to reiterate how big of a deal that small contingent that was deployed was for the country. Non involvement troop-wise was akin to how many Americans feel about gun control in terms of cultural relevance. It's went against everything they've been living and preaching for the past 50 years.

Nah, because the Swiss have never been involved in conflict. The Japanese swore to never have what happened in WW2 happen again.

Even though I know you were being a smart arse.

Just think of something relevant to the US. (Like the right to bear arms, or abortion, whatever.) And then imagine the impact of changing those cultural indicators.
