The best rust remover...

I have been doing a lot of body work just to get the jeep to look real nice. I was just what is the difference in using POR-15, sanding, or a jelly rust remover..i really dont know the difference, i just use sanding, puddy, and paint.. but I am new to this stuff so any advice would be greatly appreciated..

SEM sells a product called "RUST MORT", you can just shoot or brush it on to the rusted part or parts and it may help with your problem. One other thing, once rust starts it is like a cancer and is extremely hard to get rid of or stop unless you cut it out and weld new sheet metal in. Whenever we fixed rust in the shop I worked at we would not guarantee the paint work because of that fact.

Sanding involves scrubbing the metal surface for removal of rust. Applying a jelly or a liquid is easier as you do not have to scrub the surface and neither there is a risk of spoiling the surrounding surface.
