TFI (Coil to Distributor connection)

The spark plugs that i bought came with a wire to connect the coil to the distributor but the coil and the wire are both male connections. can i use one of the extra spark plug wire to connect the coil and the distributor?

Coil to distributor wires look like spark plug wires to me. I've never heard that they are any different
