Taking the hard top off

I am still patiently waiting for my new Jeep to arrive. Should be somtime this month. I ordered it with the hard and soft top and we should still have some nice top down weather here in the south so the first thing I'm going to do is remove the hard top.

What tool(s) do I need? I have the basic tools but I want to be sure I have what I need when the time comes. Is it a star/torx bit that I need? What size? I'm going to go to Sears to get what I need.

Thanks guys. and gals.

When you first get your new Toy, look in the Glove box. There you will find a Video. This will explain EVERYTHING you need to know about how to do your Top stuffs. Pay close attention and watch it a couple times. This will help you make your Tops last MUCH longer.

It will cover the following:

Removing the Hard top
Removing the Soft top from the Jeep for storage (this HAS to be done or you will ruin the soft top)
Putting the Soft top on the Hardware (the soft top comes rolled up and not attached to the frame hardware)
Raising the soft top (follow these Proceedures they will help make your top last)
Lowering the Soft top
Removing the soft top for storage
Replacing the Hard top.

Good idea, thanks everyone. I'll just pick up a set of torx at Sears next time by. Oh and thanks for the video recomendation. Being a guy, I may have just ignored it because everyone knows we don't need to read (or watch) instructions, right?

You know, I love this place. Other boards I've been to, I probably would have gotten at least one reply along the lines of "you dumbaxx, why don't you just look at it and figure it out yourself".
