Can anyone please explain to me how to get my 95 wrangler doors off. There is a pin on top and on the bottom. The pin on the top has a nut on the bottom of the pin but it wont budge. Please help.
BUMMER> You could try heating it up, but If the pin is spinning inside the hinge, you might just have to cut off the pin at the top of the nut (but the doors will be alot easier to steal). Did you try dousing it with solvent?
I had the same problem (spinning hinge pin) with one of my CJ half-doors. I dealt with the problem by opening the door, then drilling a hole from the interior side through the top cap or cup which holds the hinge pin and slightly into the hinge pin.
A garage-owning friend then filled the drilled hole with his welder. That permanently (hopefully) secured the hinge pin in place.
Autozone, napa, pep boys, and I could have sworn I saw it at wally world the other day (walmart) And where I live we don't have those huge walmarts with grocery stores and hair salons and taco bells in them like you southern boys do. We have the simple back to basics wally world!
Hey jps. I wouldn't say that for very long. I 'live in Jerseyand my mom is a store manager for Walmart. Her store's got groceries, oil change, the works. Biggest store in Jersey matter of fact. Sorry just boasting a little. But I'm sure that it won't be long before they make it to you!
