Stupid CA emissions standards :-)

So i've gotta go in for my smog check (good 'ol CA.... just gotta love it) and am wondering if the aftermarket XJ catalytic converters hold up past 2 years? If so, what brand is the best.

The reason why I ask is because a good friend of mine failed smog check 2years ago and opted to get the cheap aftermarket cat. He just got his car back (acura) and the smog guys told him that the aftermarket cat's are rated at about 2years or so which turned out to be true in his case.

I been doin alot of cat on jeep at my work and the most popular one that ppl do is magna flow but Idk if it will past in cal. But look at summitracing.com they have more choices on there
