On my 2000 TJ, I have had no problems. Yesterday after riding around, when I went to start up, there was a slight effort to start, more of a buzz, then nothing. Next, I found that the shift lever was stuck in park, the button to shift wouldn't push in. I charged the battery to full charge and I got a longer louder buzz, but no effort to turn over the engine. I need help. Could the starter pinion be jammed in start position and would that lock it up? Appreciate any advice.
