Stock lugnuts suck

ok so i went to go change my tire that has a lump in the sidewall...got 3 nuts loose easy, then 2 to go.....apparently they put some piece of crap aluminum covering on the nuts and ended up stripping the hell out of the covering....so i had to get a locking wrench and a propane torch and heat it up and rip the son of a b@**%#@ off....after that no problem, but i will be throwing those away

I bought a set of lug nuts that are solid and came with 5 locking lugs and the key for $21.00 from 4 wheel parts wholesale. I had the same problem with mine. I remember cussing a lot and busted my knuckles more than once on each tire. :evil: :x :x :evil:

try putting anit-seize on those suckers next time where they wont stick

Those chincy chrome covers are something else, I can't believe Jeep has been using them for so long.

I've got a few that have come off, but a 3/4" wrench was still able to get the lug off.

Yup they are a Pain in the A$$ , so I feel your pain on that...Good luck ...go with some type of lithium grease ..
