Stock gear ratio

I'm trying to figure out what gear ratio I have in my 92 YJ. It is a base model YJ that probably had NO options when new. 4 banger, 5 speed, and it had the smallest wheels/tires. Is there an easy way to find this out?

Crawl under there and look for the metal tag hanging on a bolt on the diff cover. First numbers will tell the tell. but you are running a 4:10 gearing I am pretty sure. Tug

You should have 4.10's. I think that the 4.88's gears are the way to go with a 2.5 and bigger tires. The lower the gear the better if your crawling rocks. And if you need more power.

You have 4.10 gears. Go with 4.88 gears for anything over 31" tires, 4.56 is just not enough of a change to justify the time and $$.
