Stereo won't work with engine running

My jeep had subs and amps with it when I bought it. But I had to remove them due to lack of space. But now my stereo will not work when I have the motor running. It will play if I have to key to run just on battery, but as soon as I start the jeep it wont play. I get power to the head unit while it is running, just no sound. I checked all of the grounds and they are all tight, I even removed them and sanded down the paint for the main ground.

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated, this is driving me crazy. And by the way the head unit is powering the 4x6's in the dash and the sound bar on the roll bar. The head unit is rated for well over the combined power of the four speakers.

Are you sure that the radio's ignition wire is hooked up correctly (not the radio power, but the wire from the radio that's supposed to be hooked into an ignition source)?
