This is my first time on this website but it is my last hope to try to find out what it wrong with my jeep. i have been having a problem with the jeep starting and dying out! it is not that it is not turning over it just will not stay started once it turns over. it seems to happen most of the time when it rains or right after. for instance it rained all night where i live and it started this morning and i drove to work. after about an hour i was running out for something and i would not stay started. i don't know what it could be. i have had a couple people look at it and they cannot determine what is wrong with it. any suggestions

Cracked distributor cap allowing water to get in. To get it running long enough to get to a parts store for a new one, spray a little WD40 inside the cap to displace the moisture. That is only a very temporary fix, though.

Anybody else see anything different?

(By the way, my wife is Sunshine.....you scared me for a minute there when I saw your screen name!)

Umm hold on there folks... this is an 2000 wrangler...no distributor car. Computer controled iggy. First check your wires from your coil packs to your spark plugs and the connections from the ciol packs to your OBC computer. A rubber cover is missing some where along these lines most likley from the coil packs to the computer since your not getting a misfire error from your on board diag.
