I have a problem i need some help with. I know very little about mechanics, but i do know a little. I went to start my truck this morning, and it cranks, but it won't catch. The battery appears to be ok. Where else do i need to look and if so, what can i do to try to get it started again? I read about the fuel problems someone else on here had mentioned, but i have no clue where the stuff is as or how ot check it. PLease email me back at jveals2002@juno.com with any help you can give me. Thanks for any help that can be given.

With the stereo and everything turned off, put the key into the forward ON potion but not cranked. You should hear a moderately loud HUM noise from the rear. After you have tried to crank it over a few times, CAREFULLY press the shrader valve on the fuel rail and a you should get a good amount of fuel shooting out.

My next sugestion would be to locate the CPS harness. Then disconnect it and reconnect it and try to turn it over again. If it starts then the CPS should probably be replaced. You can also rawl under the drive's side and follow the trans bellhousing up tword the top and at about the 10 O'clock postion and that is where the CPS is located. It's two 13mm bolts to get it out. Be CAREFUL removing these bolts that you do not drop them into the trans bell housing. Once out you can take it to AutoZone and they can test it using a small Well's diag tool.

If not that, I'd say look tword the Ignition Coil. My aftermarket coil went out awhile back and it threw no codes at all. After verifing everything, I put my old coil on and evrything was cleared up. Try this and see what codes if any you can pull:

Hope this helps
