Starter problems

So I strt the jeep and put around a lttle on a dirt road and the jeep is running like crap.It is sputtering and wont give me any power,then when I was heading home it completly stalled on a hill and would not start.I figured it was flooded.So I just walked out there to bring it home and it started up,ran like crap,and I didnt even get it all the way home.I am in deep cacka right now.Are these starter problem symtoms???? A starter will not make it run bad. It only starts the engin. your problems are of a different nature sully. good luck and tell us more about the running like crap part. be more discriptive about what it is and is not doing. tug[addsig]

sounds like the same problems I had with my 84cj. I took out the venturi cluster and drilled the brass tubes out to 0.040". While it was apart, i took the carb apart and cleaned the float bowl and all the tiny passages in the carb body. Since doing this, the old cj has had no problems with idling or power.[addsig]
