What keeps the axle from pivoting like I described?
By the way, I can understand why it is considered 1-link as there is one point of attachment at the frame. If I'm not mistaken a radius arm setup (4 arms where the upper arms attach to the lower arms) is actually a "2-link" and a true "4-link" has 4 arms attached at their own frame mounts.
Personally, I feel that unless you are getting into comp that is completely unnecessary.
