Speedometer help

Ok so my speedometer is going crazy right ow its saying I was going 40 out of my driveway then skyrocked past 100mph at 30mph. The governor was kicking in at 2000 rpms in every gear my max speed was 50 mph. Disconnected the speed sensors so it fixed that but still have no speedometer. So I replaced the sensor and still no luck. I also checked the gearing on the trans and the ran a test on the computer and those didn't fix it either. I'm running out of ideas anyone have any suggestions of what would cause this?

Welcome to the Z. I've never had the 241or transfer case apart but I do know the speed sensor is an inductive pickup. Have you checked the t-case fluid level and condition? Otherwise look for a short in the speedo wiring.

Could be a bad speed sensor, try replacing it...

Already replaced the sensor and traced for short in wiring still no luck. Two different performance shops couldnt figure it out. Could the computer be damaged?
