spark to coil 99 Jeep Cherokee 4.0

Welcome to Jeepz.com . The ignition coil is controlled by the PCM on your jeep. The PCM also comtrols the spark, advance as well.

The PCM ( powertrain control module ) is in the engine compartment and on a cherokee they are usually mounted on the drivers side fender opposite of the battery. You will recognize it by the wiring harness plugged into it . An OBD 2 PCM will have several plugs , input and output sensor wiring and injector driver harness.

I have changed the cap rotor coil crankshaft sensor. I'm thinking about changing the distributor. PCM is still controlling the injector. But still have no spark

It's obvious your losing the signal to the ignition coil from the PCM. You posted that the CPS was changed but the distributor does have a stator which does the job a CMP ( camshaft position sensor) does. We need to establish if the coil is working. Pull the coil wire from the cap and ground it while someone cranks the engine. If you got spark , the coil is good and the stator needs to be checked.
To replace one , the distributor has to be disassembled. To check one , back probe the middle terminal with a voltmeter to battery negative . Manual says 5 ohms or less . Ignition on , back probe the middle terminal and another terminal on the plug. One terminal will have 5 volts and the other will need to be checked by manually turning the engine and should see 0-5 volts reading as the engine is turned. Another measurement is taken by cranking the engine with the starter. The average reading should be 2.5 volts. This is supposed to be done with a meter that can take an average reading. What's important is that you get a reading. If not , the sensor is supposed to be bad. To make things easier , if you can get your hands on another distributor that works , and the engine starts , then it's party time.
