Spare tire lug spins

Anyone have experience with this? One of the lugs holding the spare tire spins as the bracket inside the mount corroded and broke so i am unable to remove the spare ture from the mount on the tail gate. I tried vice grips but they can't stop it from spinning when I try to use the lug wrench to get the tire off the mount.

can you take the carrier off the Jeep?
If the mount is trash, you may try to use an angle grinder to cut it off from the back.

Could you wedge the broken head to hold it??
First lots of penetrating oil. Then high heat on the lug. Then more oil.

Weld a bolt to the same spot you are trying to hold with locking pliers. Or grind a flat spot on opposite sides and try to use an adjustable wrench to hold it.
