New to forum, hope im posting in the right place. I am upgrading to 35 x 12.5 tires and am having difficulty trying to figure out what to do about a spare.. I just have a standard spare on regular bracket now, There is no way a 35" tire will fit. I need to find out what I need for a new/stable bracket as well as to readjust the height of 3rd brakelight.. also have after market back bumper which may get in the way.. Ughh, is this more trouble than its worth? Seems like it's getting very pricey!! Help!

First welcome to the Z. Here is a link to Quadratec and its spare tire re-locater and third brake light extender bracket combo.

Hope this helps.

3rd brake light is easy to extend. It is only 4 bolts.Get longer bolts and make some type of spacer.I only went to a 31" tire so a couple washers where fine.

You can make your own extension plate if you're handy with a welder. Just add to the stock mount to raise the tire up and out.

A good tip, design the spare tire holder so the bottom of the spare slightly rubs the top of the bumper when closing the tailgate. The bumper will then help support some of the weight of the tire and your tailgate hinges will last longer.

Very pricey! Welcome to jeep world, just empty every pocket.

Big help, everywhere I was looking for advise-it was on up to a 33" tire so it wasn't really helping my situation. I will check for weight of tire and go back to quadratec site..seemed way cheaper than any other option. Thanks Jeep guys!
